So, you want to reach every customer or client who is interested in your services. In order to do that, you need to be able to follow the old adage: location, location, location. You’re likely already online, and maybe even have your webpage updated often. You know how critical social media is for marketing. And yet you’re still having issues with your Search Engine Optimization. What’s going on?

Google Cares

You know Google has its many-fingered mind busy tracking all of the various demographics, but what you might not realize is that your website and mobile sites are tracked differently! This is because when someone accesses your webpage from a computer, it means they are at home. Meanwhile, those searching from their phones tend to be searching while on the go and tend to be more local to your general area. Getting your SEO to go up for mobile means you must pay attention to the needs of mobile users.

It’s Where People Are

About half of web traffic occurs on mobile devices, and that number is growing all the time. Even those who do not habitually use a desktop or laptop computer in daily life still use a smartphone, and depend upon them not just for general calls and social media, but for researching the areas around them. Your goal is to be found, and the only way to make sure you are is to have your mobile SEO increased so that you are among the top searches available.

Make It Easy To Stay

One of the easiest ways to optimize your mobile SEO is to make sure that your mobile site is updated and modernized. You don’t want just colors and visuals that are on trend. You also need to make sure that any users clicking on your site stay to keep looking through. This involves users don’t have to wait for images to load but also have a useful experience, not just an aesthetic one. If anything on your site is difficult to load, your bounce rate—how many leave after the first page—increases, and that’s going to really lower conversion rates.

Making your team aware of mobile SEO, if they are not already, gets everybody on board for perking up the design of the mobile site. Make sure local folks can find you easily and have good reason to stay on your page. Those smartphone searches equal big money!
