When it comes to how your company and brand are perceived online, trust is a major factor that customers are looking for. With the wide variety of options available, customers have no issue jumping from brand to brand if they don’t feel like they can trust the company. It’s vital that you develop a trusted reputation. Here’s a few tips to help you.

Strengthen Your Reputation

What people are saying about you online can make or break you as a company. Even if you have a strong and trusted brand, if too many people start saying negative things about your company, you can lose it all quickly. Potential customers often turn to reviews and company profiles to form their opinions before interacting, so it is important to know what is being said. Monitoring and promptly responding to reviews is an important trust building step. That way people can see that you care about what is being said and are proactive in fixing any mistakes.

Get Personal

Relationships are a huge part of a customer’s impressions and trust in your brand. When you put the time and effort into personalizing something, the customer feels more connected to you than they would otherwise. Personalized marketing campaigns deliver higher ROI than blanket marketing. In order to personalize your marketing, you will need to collect data on your customers. Just make sure you don’t collect too much and end up coming across as creepy. Something as simple as following up with personalized emails after an interaction or focusing the newsletters on topics that they are interested in can go a long way.

Keep Your Promises

This one may seem self-explanatory, but it is a huge one when it comes to building trust in your brand. If you make a promise to a customer, make sure you are able to fulfill it. While customers may or may not need the webinar you gave or the free ebook you offered, if the content of what they are given is disappointing, you’ve just lost a customer. You can hype things up, but make sure that whatever you are hyping lives up to it.

Doing these things are a great way to show your customers that they can trust you to not only provide great products but also provide great service. Trust is an invaluable thing for a business, so make sure you don’t skimp on these actions.
